Here's Medina, the original capital of Valletta....built inland and on a high point of the island so they could watch out for pirates (yes pirates!) --- I mean really...although not quite, this city is almost older than dirt !

| It was a national holiday, the day of this tour. Strange thing about holidays here is that many Maltese don't know what the holiday IS --- but they sure know there is one cause no one does anything! Tourist attractions, transportation and restaurants are open...that's about it! Shops, malls, businesses...all closed up tighter than a face lift ! So on we go as we leave town (no I don't remember which town it was) and move on...... Hi ho Silver --- Away !!!!! (probably most don't remember that either!) be back with more soon |
